ITIL Foundation course dates have been released and registration is open at special launch pricing!

Help Us Help You. Click here to complete a one (1) question survey about how you recommend we prioritize our roll out schedule of the new Managing Professional and Strategic Leader courses.

Since 2003, ITSM Academy has been a leader in Service Management training and education. We are a Global Strategic Partner of AXELOS (the owners of ITIL) and we will begin delivering ITIL 4 Foundation in February 2019.

ITIL 4 (scroll down for certification scheme image) retains the best of ITIL v3/2011, and the core elements remain intact. The new content allows modern and emerging practices (Agile, Lean, DevOps) to be discussed alongside best practices. Continue your journey! The ITIL v3 Practitioner course (the newest course - by far - in the scheme) is built on the 9 Guiding Principles, which are pillars in ITIL 4. Attending this class gives you a "sneak peek" to what's coming with ITIL 4. S

As you are probably aware, since our inception, ITSM Academy has developed all of our own courseware in-house.  From ITIL v2/v3/2011 Foundation, through Managing Across the Lifecycle, and onto the newest course in the ITIL Scheme - ITIL Practitioner

What you may not know, ITSM Academy is also the lead author of many of the courses - including flagship DevOps Institute (DOI) content;

Independent of DOI, we also are the lead author on the Certified Process Design Engineer (first class August 2008) and Value Stream Mapping Facilitator (first class January 2019).

As such, we are uniquely prepared to guide organizations in their continuous improvement efforts, as we transition to ITIL 4 and adapt Service Management practices in support of DevOps and Agile. #3to4Guides

But what about your existing certifications??

The good news is, your ITIL v3 training and certification will remain valid (and important). If you have ITIL v3 certifications, or are undergoing or planning to take ITIL training and certification in the coming months, keep it going! The ITIL Practitioner course (the newest course - by far - in the v3 scheme) is built on the 9 Guiding Principles, which are pillars in ITIL 4.  Attending this class now will give you a "sneak peek" to what's coming with advanced ITIL 4 education.

Of course, the time and money you’ve invested in your ITIL knowledge is still very meaningful and worthwhile. ITSM Academy will strive to help our entire Alumnus make a smooth transition into this new digital frontier.

itil-4-scheme.pngShould I wait for ITIL 4?

We aren't! As AXELOS rolls out ITIL 4, the timing is great to learn about the current influences and cultural movements directly impacting the updates; including Agile Service ManagementDevOps, Lean, Value Steam Mapping and Process Design.  Those who have achieved at least a foundation level understanding of these concepts and disciplines could provide untold value to their organizations, as organizations continue to modernize and streamline.

This Foundation level course is the first course released in the new ITIL 4 certification scheme. Foundation is a pre-req for all other levels.

AXELOS has stated the remainder of the ITIL 4 courses beyond the Foundation level course will be available in late 2019.
