    Let's learn from our scars!

Posted by Keith on Jun 2nd 2020

The headline is a play on a phrase that most all of us are familiar with – “the definition of insanity”. I was part of this course week of 5/11/20. Importantly, the course was attended by the right folks - meaning we were all in applicable leadership roles (e.g. Service Management leads, Process/Practice Leads, Managers and Consultants). The most valuable aspects of the class experience were the applicability and combination of proven, and newer, techniques for governing, strategizing and optimizing any organizations Service Management Practice. For instance, the usage of the Continual improvement (CI) model with Value Stream Mapping (VSM) absolutely promotes that multiple techniques can yield "1 + 1 = 3" results. CI plus VSM then also cross-pollinates well with the Art & Science of Experience, now creating both a vertical and horizontal view of providing efficient and effective services to a market. Service Providers have to pay attention to this picture! The conversation on the applicability of the concepts made for a wonderful class experience
