While the IT Infrastructure
Library™ (ITIL®) and other Service Management frameworks
and standards define many IT staff roles, three (3) in particular
have emerged on IT organizational charts and open positions:
· IT Change Manager
· IT Support Manager
· IT Service Level Manager
Building on these critical roles
within the prominent IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks, ITSM
Academy's ITSMP® program bundles ITSM certification courses into
diploma tracks. This ensures that students are equipped with ALL of
the skills needed to succeed in a specific process management
position. In addition to earning an ITSMP diploma, students
will also achieve industry recognized certifications, at a
significant cost savings.
The ITSMP
program offers diplomas in three (3) occupational disciplines based
on IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices, frameworks and
standards. The career paths are: (View

(ITSMP-CM)
· ITSMP Support Manager® (ITSMP-SM)
· ITSMP Service Level Manager®
(ITSMP-SLM)
To successfully complete the
program and be issued the appropriate diploma, students must earn
168 clock hours in a chosen diploma track. Credits are assigned based on
course length and complexity.
While the program is built to be
completed over one year, courses are offered with sufficient
frequency to accommodate individual student timelines and
availability.
Each track is comprised of:

required courses
· 2
role-specific courses
· 1
elective course
· 1
final project
Entry Criteria
The ITSMP
program is intended for IT professionals seeking to advance or
change their career by developing all the skills needed to
successfully fulfill a specific ITSM job role. Entry criteria
includes:
· A
minimum of 3 years working experience in an IT environment
(required)
· Basic
computing skills (required)
· A minimum of
1 year management experience (recommended)
· Selection of
1 of the 3 diploma tracks (required)
Prior knowledge of IT Service
Management, ITIL or any other ITSM framework is not required.
Transfer Credits
Enrolling
students may apply for transfer credits for any course within their
track for which they have previously earned a certification.
A maximum of eighty-two (82) clock hours will be accepted as a
transfer.
Contact us to learn how your
existing (ITIL, MOF, etc.) certifications can be used as
credit toward earning your Diploma.
Financing
Tuition is billed in quarterly
installments. Transfer credits will be applied to the clock
hours, reducing the tuition cost. Tuition Reimbursement may be
available through your HR benefits program.
Diploma
The
credentials issued are ITSMP-CM, ITSMP-SM or
ITSMP-SLM, based on the diploma granted.
