The ITIL Lifecycle Service Transition and Service Operation classes are now available as a five (5) day boot camp. Not only will learners receive a significant costs saving over attending each class individually, they can achieve two (2) ITIL certifications in one (1) intense week.

Embedded into this course is our unique virtualization, Living the Lifecycle®, bringing processes and concepts to life. Within a virtual business environment, we introduce a service and then follow it from strategic decision through implementation. Living the Lifecycle successfully enables active learning by encouraging the participants to:

  • Discuss and understand pure ITIL concepts
  • Apply concepts to a “neutral” real world situation
  • Learn different perspectives
  • Reinforce examinable concepts

Prerequisites: 
Candidates for this course have ITIL Foundation obtained through ITIL V3 Foundation or Bridge Course.  Two (2) years IT Service Management experience is recommended. 

ITIL ExpertTM:
Earn 6 credits of the 22 required to achieve the ITIL Expert Certification.

Course / Student Materials:
Please Note
The ITIL books are not included. Learners must bring their own copies of Service Transition and Service Operation to class, available at www.itsmbookstore.com 

Pre-class, learners are required to:

  • Review Welcome Kit, includes all Pre-Class Assignments, Homework, etc.
  • Listen to the One (1) Hour Recorded Intermediate Class Introduction 
      - Reviews key ITIL Foundation concepts
      - Describes pre-class reading and assignments
      - Provides tips for exam preparations
  • Complete all Pre-Class Assignments and Pre-Reading - approximately 20 hours

In-class, learners receive: 

  • Five (5) Days Instructor Led Training and Exercise Facilitation
  • Participation in Case Study-Based Exercises - Living the Lifecycle
  • Learner Manuals (excellent post-class reference)
  • Study Aids and Sample Exams, Exam Preparation
  • Vouchers for the Web-Based Exams

About the Exams:
The Service Transition and Service Operation exams (which are included with class) are web-based. On the 1st day of class you will receive your voucher via email, along with exam registration instructions. This way, you have the flexibility to choice the date, time and location for your web-based exams. This can be done directly with the Exam Institute.

Exam Certification:
Successfully passing each 90 minute exam consisting of eight (8) complex, multi-part, multiple choice scenario-based gradient scored questions leads to the ITIL Intermediate Qualifications: Service Transition Certificate and Service Operation Certificate. Passing score on each exam is 28/40 or 70%.

Learners must complete at least 20 hours of personal study by reviewing the Service Transition and the Service Operations publications.

Diploma:
ITSM Academy is Licensed by the Commission for Independent Education, Florida Department of Education to offer occupational IT Service Management Professional (ITSMP)® Diplomas. This course earns ITSMP students credits toward their Change Manager, Support Manager and/or Service Level Manager Diplomas.

ITIL Expert:
6 credits of the 22 required to achieve the ITIL Expert Certification.

Project Management Institute (PMI) Professional Development Units (PDUs):
ITSM Academy is recognized by PMI as a Global R.E.P. Project Management Professionals earn 44 contact hours or PDUs upon completion of this course.

Trainers for this course are ITIL Experts, Service Transition and Service Operation Certified and have successfully completed ITSM Academy's all Train-the-Trainer Programs.

Notes:
  • The exams are very challenging. Upon registration, you will be provided a pre-course Welcome Kit. You will be expected to read the case study and process chapters from the appropriate ITIL books - Service Transition and Service Operation - before the first class date...a minimum 21 hours of personal study.
  • The ITIL books are not included with this course, access to the Lifecycle Suite is required. The books can be purchased from ITSM Bookstore.
  • Maximum Learners is 18.

Unless otherwise noted, classes are held in one of ITSM Academy's Training Centers. Convenient by air, car or train. Hotel discounts available to ITSM Academy learners.
